I have a fluffy fox tail. I clean my plug with antibacterial soap (it’s metal) and the fur I clean with a bit of shampoo, then comb and let dry. It really depends on what it is made of, and what you are trying to remove. I’m happy with my water based lube and the metal plug, so cleanup is easy.
